I love Peyton Manning. Let’s just start there. Anytime I mention football or the NFL, I will bring up Peyton Manning. Because…yes. Now back to the originally scheduled programming…
I hinted at this yesterday.
I wanted to find a way to combine my love for football and my love for travel. There was an article on the NFL home page that plotted out the craziest road trip that involved seeing a home NFL game each week throughout the 2014 season. It was pretty intricate – drive here, fly there, drive there, red eye here.
I considered it – until I snapped back to reality and realized I don’t have the money nor the time for that! I have a job – which I absolutely adore! So no gallivanting across the country for me this season. But then I got to thinking, how can I make something like that work for me?
It didn’t take long before it hit me. I need to see a home game at every NFL stadium.
32 teams, 31 stadiums. This most definitely be done!
Not a typo – I really meant 32 teams, 31 stadiums. Think about it. Google it if you need to! It’s accurate!
I’ve already been to a few.
I’ve seen the Raiders play the Colts at the Coliseum in Oakland. *My first time seeing Peyton Manning play in person.
I’ve also seen the Raiders play the Chiefs, Broncos, and a few other games over the years. We used to drive up and tailgate. Back in the day, my brother and I were Terrell Davis fans. We both wore his jersey to the games faithfully! We also had bodyguards when we went!
I’ve seen the 49ers play the Titans at Candlestick Park. *It was SOOOOOO cold.
I’ve seen the Chargers play the Colts at Qualcomm Stadium. *I travel for Peyton.
I’ve seen the Steelers play the Panthers and the Chargers at Heinz Field. *Everyone got Terrible Towels that year for Christmas.
I’ve seen the Texans play the Colts at Reliant Stadium. *Home opener for the Texans. I went to see Peyton.
I’ve seen the Redskins play the Bills at FedEx Field. *Best seats at an NFL game EVER. 2nd row from the field on the 40 yd line.
I’ve seen the Jets play the Dolphins at the Meadowlands. *Brett Favre’s last game as a Jet.
This year, I have tickets to see the Jets play the Broncos. I also have tickets to see the Redskins play the Giants.
I’ve been to the early games, the Sunday night games, and now a Thursday night game. I’ve yet to see a Monday night game. That’s on the list too!
But the reason for this whole bucket list post…
I’M GOING TO SEE THE BRONCOS PLAY THE COLTS IN DENVER!
I get to see my boo, Peyton, play against his former team. I was kinda sad that I never got to see him play in Indy. And I’ll eventually get to Indianapolis, but this is AMAZING!
I CAN’T WAIT!!!!!
But back to the bucket list. I really intend to see a game at every stadium. I don’t know how long it will take me, but that’s the least of my worries. It’s gonna be a blast!
If you want to join me, let me know! The more the merrier!!!
