Valentine’s Day =/= SAD

Since when does Valentine’s Day equal SAD? For those that don’t know SAD is Singles Awareness Day.

Uhh… I missed that day in school where they made that announcement. Full disclosure: I missed the day in class when they went over sharing and empathy so if it was on that same day, it all makes sense.

There’s a hint of martyrdom surrounding the day historically. But to focus on the negative aspects of being single? Nah.

Celebrate the fact you love someone. Think hard. You love your Momma,  your Daddy, your brother, your sister, your best friend…and I’m like 83% sure they love you too!

Or maybe celebrate the fact that you aren’t tied down. You have the ability to date him/her or him/her or him/her. Think about it. If you don’t get it, wait for it.

I’m single and I’m okay with that. I’m not sad about it. I’m definitely not celebrating some sad nonsense.

Neither should you.

So Happy Valentine’s Day!

I’ll be your Valentine. ♥
