2013 – its finally gone.
2014 – its finally here.
I guess I better make the best of the new year. A lot of people didn’t get the opportunity to see another day. I’m extremely grateful. I’m also a tad excited about what is to come. I have NO IDEA what the year will bring.
I want a new job, to expand my social circle, to travel internationally, to improve my credit score, set and meet financial goals, get in shape, volunteer more, wear makeup and dress up more than last year, and experience genuine happiness. All in all, I intend to enjoy life.
To start, I’m going to really work on saving. I saw a saving schedule – make a deposit each week in the same amount of the number of weeks in the year. Week 1, deposit $1. Week 2, deposit $2. Week 3, deposit $3. Yeah, its small – but its a start. And without putting all of my business out there, its what I can manage right now. And at the end of the year, if all goes according to plan, I’ll have a nice little savings account with $1,378. I also want to completely eliminate my debt. My car loan and student loans may not be gone by the end of this year, but everything else will! I’m claiming it now!
There’s a eye shadow challenge for the month of January – I probably won’t completely participate in it. I don’t have enough different shadows to switch it up every day for a month. But it will help me step up my makeup game. I’ll make an attempt to go easy on my sneakers. I said I’ll make an attempt. Sydney told me if I wasn’t attending a sporting event, then I need not wear tennis shoes. Well Syd, I’m working on it. I’ll dress up a bit more.
These are NOT resolutions – just goals I’m working on for the upcoming year.
